Charlton Science College

Charlton Science College approached Special Media Projects to design, build and install a radio studio for their music department.

The award winning school wanted a radio solution to provide the benefits as shown in our education section, along with the ability to create live streams, podcasts, automated programming for revision shows and entertainment and the ability to broadcast occasionally on FM.

Special Media Projects installed a custom built desk with broadcast standard equipment to meet and exceed every requirement. At the heart of the studio is the full version of ENCO’s DAD playout system, a clear and obvious choice due to is unrivalled power, ease of use and as all of the local radio stations to the school also use the multi award winning product.

Aside to the studio, Special Media Projects also put Charlton Science College in touch with local radio presenters, who are on hand to offer advice and training on broadcast techniques. This is something unique for the school as not only are they being taught by the professionals, but also meeting local celebrities too!
